A visit to London South Bank University’s Law Fair gave sixth form learners the opportunity to explore legal study and careers beyond the classroom. The day opened up face-to-face conversations with current law students, academic staff and legal professionals, offering an honest look at university life, routes into the profession and what studying law is really like.
One of the highlights was spending time in the moot court, where learners heard directly from law students and picked up practical advice on building strong personal statements and preparing competitive university applications. These insights helped make the journey into higher education feel more tangible and achievable.
At the Law Fair, learners engaged with professionals working across a range of legal fields, including family and commercial law. Speaking with representatives from different sectors allowed learners to ask questions, explore career pathways and understand the breadth of opportunities within the legal profession.

The visit concluded with an inspiring talk from LSBU lecturer Robert Hush, who shared why studying law remains a powerful and versatile choice. His reflections encouraged learners to think carefully about their ambitions and the wider impact a legal education can have.
Experiences like this play an important role in supporting learners to make informed decisions about their futures, building confidence and clarity as they consider their next steps.
