The South Bank University Academy staff team are a supportive bunch and you can be sure of a very warm welcome when you start working with us
We are part of a Multi Academy Trust, The South Bank Academies Trust. The Trust operates its own payscales which are competitive and in line with inner London weighting. Additional benefits include healthcare, Sodexo rewards (including discounted supermarket and high street shopping and cinema tickets), and contributory pension schemes for teachers (Teachers Pensions) and support staff (Local Government Pension Scheme).
As we continue to grow as a school, and our student numbers rise, we are currently having a recruitment drive.
We are always on the lookout for outstanding people for a range of roles at the academy and wider trust. If you wish to put in a speculative application, we’d love to hear from you!
If you are a substantive member of staff and wish to apply for this role, please provide a supporting statement and the details of two referees. Please email email@example.com
If you are an agency member of staff currently working for us, please complete the application form via the Tes portal here , as we do need an application form for safeguarding and compliance purposes. A supporting statement on its own is not sufficient.
If you have any queries, or wish to book an informal discussion with the Principal or tour of the school, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 0207 277 3000.

South Bank University Academy is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community. We are committed to protecting all stakeholders of our school community and, therefore, conduct rigorous recruitment processes, including the assessment of applicants’ suitability to work with young people. All staff must hold an enhanced DBS check and must provide two references on application, one being from your most recent employer. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK if shortlisted for an interview.
Once a recruitment decision has been made, we do not retain documentation or information for any longer than is necessary. Unsuccessful candidates’ ID and DBS documentation will be securely disposed of immediately. Application form, supporting statement and interview questions/notes will be disposed of securely six months after the date of your interview.
Successful candidates’ personal information, ID and DBS certificates will be retained on their employee file for the duration of their employment at the UTC for the purpose of safeguarding audits. Throughout this time, the usual conditions regarding the safe storage and strictly controlled access will prevail.
There are a number of ways you can get involved with our Academy. As a family member, local resident or business owner you can join in some of our community activities or help us to deliver some extra-curricular activities as a volunteer.
Send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org specifying your areas of expertise or interest and we will be in touch when opportunities are available.
