Join Our Staff

The South Bank University Academy staff team are a supportive bunch and you can be sure of a very warm welcome when you start working with us

We are part of a Multi Academy Trust, The South Bank Academies Trust. The Trust operates its own payscales which are competitive and in line with inner London weighting.  Additional benefits include healthcare, Sodexo rewards (including discounted supermarket and high street shopping and cinema tickets), and contributory pension schemes for teachers (Teachers Pensions) and support staff (Local Government Pension Scheme).

As we continue to grow as a school, and our student numbers rise, we are currently having a recruitment drive.

We are always on the lookout for outstanding people for a range of roles at the academy and wider trust.  If you wish to put in a speculative application, we’d love to hear from you!

South Bank University Academy is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community. We are committed to protecting all stakeholders of our school community and, therefore, conduct rigorous recruitment processes, including the assessment of applicants’ suitability to work with young people.  All staff must hold an enhanced DBS check and must provide two references on application, one being from your most recent employer. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK if shortlisted for an interview.

Once a recruitment decision has been made, we do not retain documentation or information for any longer than is necessary.  Unsuccessful candidates’ ID and DBS documentation will be securely disposed of immediately.  Application form, supporting statement and interview questions/notes will be disposed of securely six months after the date of your interview.

Successful candidates’ personal information, ID and DBS certificates will be retained on their employee file for the duration of their employment at the UTC for the purpose of safeguarding audits.  Throughout this time, the usual conditions regarding the safe storage and strictly controlled access will prevail.
