T Levels are a 2 year (Level 3) qualification that you can do after GCSEs as an alternative to A levels, other post-16 courses or an apprenticeship. This course is suitable for anyone interested in a career in marketing. You’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day (9 week minimum) placement with an employer to give you the skills and knowledge companies look for.

What Is This Course?
The Marketing T Level gives students a strong understanding of how marketing works in real businesses. You will learn how campaigns are planned, created, and evaluated across digital and traditional platforms.
This course suits students who are creative, organised, and interested in business and communication.

What Will You Learn?
Across the two years, students will study:
- Marketing principles and strategies
- Digital marketing and social media
- Market research and consumer behaviour
- Branding and content creation
- Planning and evaluating campaigns
You’ll learn how marketing supports business success, including how organisations attract and influence customers. This includes understanding different market types, customer behaviour, and routes to market such as B2B and B2C. You’ll explore how marketing campaigns are planned and delivered, how customer personas are used, and how the marketing mix is applied across advertising, promotion, and digital channels.

How you'll learn
80% will be spent in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day placement with an employer. T Levels comprise 2 parts – the Technical Qualification (core and occupational specialism) and industry placement.
Most industry placements last a minimum of 315 hours (approx. 45 days) and can be offered as a block, day release or a mix, and can discuss sharing part of the placement with another employer if necessary.
Placements are supported by the Sixth Form team.

Entry Requirements
Students will typically need:
- 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including English and Maths
- Interest in marketing or business
- Commitment to completing the placement
Students who have not already achieved Grade 4 Maths and English at GCSE, will be required to work towards them alongside their T Level. And if you aren't ready to start a T Level after GCSEs, the 1-year T Level Foundation Year can provide additional support to help them prepare.
