In Digital Media, we offer a Level 3 BTEC (A-Level equivalent) over 2 years, and a Level 2 CTEC over 1 year.
The subject content for these qualifications opens doors to the world of digital interactive media, enabling students to explore topics from media production, social media and globalisation to journalism and news. They will also gain skills in the art of digital photography, animation, and audio-visual promotion.

Is this course for you?
Studying Digital Media at SBUA Sixth Form can be your first step to a career in the creative industries, digital production or marketing. The Level 3 programme will prepare you for a range of related Higher Education courses or apprenticeships.
This course will widen your understanding of the current digital media industry and its techniques and practices. Practical in focus, you will have access to specialist equipment and resources including audio and video production, design and editing software.

What entry qualifications will you need?
For Level 3, you will need a Grade 4 or above in English or Maths, with a minimum Grade 3 in the other. You will also need at least three other GCSEs at Grade 4. If you do have a Grade 3 in English or Maths, you will re-take this GCSE as part of your study programme.

How will you be assessed?
You will be assessed in a variety of ways such as presentations, practical demonstrations, group projects and tests.
You will create a personal portfolio based upon your coursework. You will be encouraged to develop your own specialisms both through work in the sixth form and private study time.
