Principal’s Welcome

Thank you for visiting our website. I am delighted to have been appointed as Principal at South Bank University Academy. Under my leadership, and with the whole staff team, the school has relaunched with the same strong vision and values but with a refreshed approach, systems and determination to drive the school to the next level. We’re improving very rapidly, building on our Good Ofsted judgement and supporting our students to thrive and create better futures.

Our motto “Create a better future” reflects our commitment to providing quality education to all students regardless of their background or circumstances. At our school we believe that every student has the potential to succeed and we strive to create an environment that fosters academic excellence, personal growth and lifelong learning.

Our core values of social responsibility, endeavour, kindness, empathy and community guide everything we do at SBUA. We encourage our students to treat one another with kindness and respect, to take ownership of their learning and to persevere through challenges and setbacks.

We are proud of our diverse community of students, teachers, and staff and we believe that our differences make us stronger. As a school community we are committed to promoting equality, inclusivity and social justice. We support our students to develop the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive impact in the world and become responsible citizens.
