Learners from SBUA recently visited Trinity College, Cambridge for a day of discovery and inspiration. The trip combined history, science and literature, giving learners a taste of university life.

Highlights included a lecture on probability by Professor Imre Leader, a campus tour, and lunch in the main hall beneath a portrait of Henry VIII. Learners also saw Shakespeare’s original manuscripts and visited the spot where Isaac Newton measured the speed of sound.

 Erwin, Year 12, reflected:

“During the Cambridge trip, I really enjoyed the amazing views, interesting lectures, delicious food and the comfortable coach ride. It was such a fun and inspiring day!”

The day offered more than sightseeing. Learners left with new ideas, experiences and a glimpse of what life at a world-renowned university can be like.
