This section is for current SBUA Year 13 students and their parents/carers.

A Level results will be available to collect from 8.00am on Thursday 13 August.

If you need advice about your next steps, speak to your teacher, who can help you understand your options and decide what to do next.

Whether you’re progressing to university, starting an apprenticeship, entering employment or considering your options, support will be available throughout the day.

GCSE Results Day is an exciting day — and for many students, it’s also the start of their next chapter at SBUA.

Whether you’re a current SBUA student or you’re thinking about joining from another school, find out what to expect below.

From Monday, 24 August, enrolment will continue remotely (online) by appointment.

What to expect when you enrol

Whether you’re a current SBUA student or joining from another school, here’s what to expect when you come in to enrol.

01 — Arrive and check in

When you arrive at SBUA, you’ll be welcomed and your details will be checked so the enrolment process can get started.

Current SBUA students: Collect your GCSE results from 8.30am before starting your enrolment.

Students from other schools: Collect your GCSE results from your current school first, then bring them with you to SBUA.

02 — Document check

Your GCSE results and required documents will be checked as part of the enrolment process.

Make sure you bring the documents listed in What should I bring? so everything can be completed as quickly as possible.

03 — Talk to a teacher about your choices

This is your chance to talk through the subjects or courses you’re interested in.

A teacher will discuss your choices with you, answer any questions you have and help you understand what studying at SBUA could look like.

04 — Check your entry requirements

Your GCSE results will be checked against the entry requirements for your chosen subjects or pathway.

If you don’t meet the requirements for your first choice, don’t worry. You can discuss alternative options with a teacher and find out what other courses or pathways may be available.

05 — Confirm your enrolment

Once your course choices have been confirmed, your enrolment can be completed.

You’ll have your student ID photo taken, and your SBUA student ID card will be printed for you.

You’ll then be ready to start your Sixth Form journey at SBUA in September.

What should I bring?

To help make the enrolment process as straightforward as possible, please bring:

• Your GCSE results

• Proof of identity

• Any documents you have been asked to provide

• Details of the subjects or courses you’re interested in studying

External applicants: remember to collect your results from your current school before coming to SBUA.

If you’re unsure what you need to bring, speak to a member of the team when you arrive.

• I’m a current SBUA Year 11 student. Where do I collect my GCSE results?

  Current SBUA Year 11 students can collect their GCSE results from SBUA from 8.30am on Thursday 20 August.

  Once you have your results, you can continue with your Sixth Form enrolment for September.

• I’m from another school. Where do I collect my results?

  If you’re an external applicant, collect your GCSE results from your current school.

  Once you have your results, come to SBUA if you’d like to apply and enrol with us for September.

• I haven’t applied to SBUA yet. Can I still come in?

  Yes. If you’re interested in joining SBUA but haven’t applied yet, you can still come in on Results Day. Walk-ins are welcome. Bring your GCSE results and speak to a member of the team about your options, entry requirements and how to apply.

• What if I don’t get the grades I was expecting?

  Don’t panic. Speak to a teacher about your results and the options available to you.

  There may be alternative subjects, courses or pathways that you can consider.

• Can I change my course choices on Results Day?

  If you’re unsure about your original choices or your results have changed your options, speak to a teacher. They can help you explore the courses available and check the relevant entry requirements.

• When can I enrol?

  Face-to-face enrolment takes place:

  Thursday 20 August and Friday 21 August, 9.00am – 2.00pm

  From Monday 24 August, enrolment will continue remotely (online) by appointment.

• What courses can I study at SBUA?

  SBUA offers a range of A Levels, T Levels and technical vocational courses, giving you different routes into university, apprenticeships, further study and employment.

• When do I start Sixth Form?

  Your first day at SBUA will be Thursday 3 September 2026.

  Year 12 students should arrive by 9.00am.
