Earlier this month, SBUA was delighted to host a Business Networking Event designed to strengthen existing partnerships and establish exciting new connections with organisations across a range of sectors.
The event brought together representatives from the private sector, the Civil Service and London South Bank University (LSBU), providing an excellent opportunity to share our vision for the future and showcase the exciting developments taking place across the Academy. Guests heard about our expanded Key Stage 5 curriculum offer for next year, with particular interest in the introduction of three new T Level pathways, which will provide students with valuable industry-focused learning opportunities and stronger routes into higher education and employment.
A key focus of the meeting was exploring how meaningful partnerships can be developed to benefit both SBUA students and our partner organisations. Discussions were highly positive and productive, generating a range of ideas for future collaboration, including employer engagement activities, work experience opportunities, industry insight events and skills development initiatives.
Visitors were also given an exclusive tour of the Academy’s new Digital Hub. The first phase of this exciting facility will open in September and will feature an immersive Virtual Reality teaching room, a dedicated podcast studio and a green-screen production room. The new Hub generated considerable enthusiasm among attendees, highlighting the innovative learning experiences that will soon be available to our students.
The event was a great success, reinforcing the strong relationships we have already built while creating new opportunities for collaboration in the future. We would like to thank all those who attended and contributed to such engaging and constructive discussions. We look forward to welcoming even more partners to future networking events in the new academic year as we continue to work together to support and inspire our students.
