South Bank University Academy recently marked Culture Day with a vibrant celebration of the diversity and identity within the school community.
Students and staff came together to represent and share their cultures, with many wearing traditional dress that reflected their heritage. The day provided an opportunity for the whole school to celebrate what makes the SBUA community unique, while promoting inclusion, understanding and respect.
A range of activities took place throughout the day, including live performances, bracelet making, henna art and face painting. These creative and interactive experiences allowed students to express themselves while learning more about different cultures.

The celebration concluded with a lively catwalk showcase, where students confidently presented their outfits and the cultures they represent. This was a highlight of the day, with participants demonstrating pride, confidence and a strong sense of identity.
Events such as Culture Day play an important role in fostering a sense of belonging within the school, while encouraging students to appreciate and celebrate diversity in all its forms.
