Year 10 South Bank Sharks students recently stepped beyond the pitch and into a professional setting, taking part in a mock interview experience designed to build confidence and prepare them for future pathways.
Working with Lynsey Coleman from London Broncos, students were interviewed for a range of roles across the programme. These included digital media, strength and conditioning, community development, kit management and media lead, reflecting the wide variety of opportunities available within sport and related industries.
The experience gave students a realistic insight into the expectations of an interview environment. From answering questions to presenting their skills and interests, students were able to develop their communication, confidence and professionalism in a supportive setting.
By linking sport with career-focused experiences, programmes like South Bank Sharks continue to provide students with meaningful opportunities to explore their interests and understand the pathways available to them beyond school.
Experiences such as this play an important role in helping students feel prepared, confident and ready to take their next steps.
