Young Writers Students Holding on to Certificate

Creativity has been recognised at South Bank University Academy, with a number of Year 8 and Year 9 students receiving a Young Writers Award following their poetry submissions to the Young Writers national competition.

Their poems have been selected for publication in an anthology due to be released this August, with each student receiving a personal copy of the book—a fantastic achievement and a memorable milestone in their writing journey.

The Young Writers competition encourages young people from across the UK to express themselves through poetry, rewarding originality, imagination and creative thinking. Having work selected for publication is a significant accomplishment, placing students alongside other talented young writers from across the country.

Successes like these demonstrate that achievement takes many forms. Whether through the arts, sport, STEM or academic competitions, students are continually encouraged to pursue their interests, embrace new opportunities and showcase their talents beyond the classroom.

Congratulations to every student whose work has been selected for publication. We look forward to celebrating the release of the anthology later this summer and seeing their creativity shared with readers across the UK.
