South Bank University Academy is committed to providing a website that is accessible and easy to use.

As part of our commitment to inclusivity, South Bank University Academy endeavours to provide web pages that are accessible to all users and to ensure that our website is usable by people of all abilities and disabilities.

We aim to meet a minimum of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA (WCAG 2.2 AA) compliance, in line with current web accessibility standards.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. We are committed to ongoing review and improvement to ensure our website continues to move towards full compliance wherever possible.

Our website has been independently tested using a combination of automated tools and manual accessibility checks to assess compliance against WCAG 2.2 AA standards. While the core website platform supports accessible design and functionality, there is a limited range of third-party features which are outside of our direct control. We continue to monitor and improve accessibility across all areas of the website.

If you encounter an accessibility issue that is not listed on this page, or have any difficulty with accessing any of the information on this website, then please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

The website has been designed and developed to support inclusive access to information and services. Users can:

  • Zoom in up to 400% without losing content or functionality

  • Navigate the website using only a keyboard

  • Use screen readers and other assistive technologies

  • Clearly identify their position on a page when navigating with a keyboard

  • Read content that meets recognised colour contrast standards

  • Access images that include meaningful alternative text

  • Use descriptive links that clearly explain their destination

The website is regularly reviewed to ensure it remains accessible across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

While every effort is made to meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, some third-party tools embedded within the website may not fully meet these standards. These are explained below.

  • Known accessibility considerations

Some minor issues identified during testing relate to third-party services that are embedded within the website.

    Google Translate

The website includes a Google Translate feature to support users who prefer to access content in another language.

This tool contains hidden form fields used for translation feedback which do not include labels. These fields are not visible to users and do not impact functionality or usability. This issue cannot be resolved without removing the translation feature.

    Google reCAPTCHA

Some forms on the website are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam submissions.

The tool includes a hidden field required for its operation that does not contain a label. This does not affect the user experience or accessibility of the forms and cannot be resolved without removing the spam protection service.

Aside from the above third-party considerations, the website meets WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

  • Reporting accessibility issues

We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our website.
